I started work today. Back to the old grindstone. Is this really my FOURTH year of teaching??? Yikes! Where does the time go?

I drove "into Houston" yesterday to stock up on some last minute resources at the Wal-Mart and was bombarded by frantic shoppers snatching Kinder Mats and plastic pencil boxes up like they were free samples.

By the time I made my way through the crowds, I was forced to wait in line for 20 minutes while the lady at the cash register held a Mensa meeting.

I was glad to return to my overpriced area of the city, where, even though the kids can be snooty and total brats, Humble ISD is the place to be.
